History

Determined to build his own firm, Ramon C. de Villa, a licensed civil engineer, started the R.C. de Villa Construction Company. Armed with savings from employment and a drive to be his own boss, he established the company on April 4, 1990.

In its humble beginnings, the Company’s first project was a guard house in the College of Forestry and Natural Resources in the University of the Philippines Los Baños. The lessons he learned from working with construction giants like Mulvaney, McMillan & Co. Inc., Healy Tibbitts Builders, Inc., and Toyo Construction Company Ltd. were put to great use as he and his self-built organization went from project to project.

Now, twenty-one years and more than a hundred projects older, the R.C. de Villa Construction Company, a PCAB accredited organization, has expertise in both private and government projects. From bridges to ports, from residential buildings to commercial and industrial establishments, the company has continually catered to a wide range of satisfied clients.

About the Founder

Engineer Ramon “Romie” C. de Villa was born in Lemery, Batangas in 1947, the youngest of 10 children of Isidro+ and Inocencia+ de Villa. He attended the Lemery Elementary School from 1953 to 1959 and Batangas West High School in Lemery where he graduated in 1963. He finished two Bachelor of Science degrees from National University in Manila namely Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (1970) and Bachelor of Science in Sanitary Engineering (1971). He passed the local licensure for civil engineers in 1971. He married chemical engineer Teodora A. Mendoza in 1978 and the couple was blessed with four children.

From 1971 to 1988, he worked with construction mammoths like Mulvaney, McMillan & CO. Inc., Healy Tibbitts Builders, Inc., Toyo Construction Company Ltd, and local construction company, J.H. Pajara Construction Corp. In April 1990, he established R.C. de Villa Construction.

At present, he is the General Manager of the company. He is also the founder of the Laguna Chapter of Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) as well as the Knights of Columbus Council 11993 of Los Baños, Laguna. He was also recognized as the “2009 Outstanding Water District Chairman of the Board” which was the highest award given by The Southern Tagalog Chronicle for Water District Chairpersons. Today, his commitment to these organizations remains and with his leadership and management skills, he continues to guide R.C. de Villa Construction.

We have committed personnel who will guide you in every phase of Pre-construction to ensure successful planning and coordination.

Construction Management

R.C. de Villa Construction’s way of construction management has been carefully developed over two decades. Simply put, we offer great service to every client, no matter how big or small your project is. We perform as a general contractor in running the entire construction process including the subcontractor hiring. The main goal is to be cost effective… to deliver every project in line with achieving the quality specifications set by our clients at the best achievable cost.

You can be confident that Project Management (PM) and Total Quality Management (TQM) techniques are applied in every step of the project ensuring continuous review, testing, and improvement of costs and procedures. These have earned us repeat service use of our clients and their referrals as well.

Consultancy

As a consultant, we are committed in overseeing the value-engineered design, bidding process, and the different stages of construction work. We monitor closely the progress and ensure the contractors meet all the specifications set by the clients.

Value Engineering

Value engineering is an organized technique that we use to improve the value of our services via examination of materials and processes. Value, as defined, is the ratio of function to cost. We therefore choose the best materials and processes as well as eliminate redundancies to reduce cost without sacrificing quality. Our estimators identify possible cost savings that will meet the functional requirements of the structure at a reasonable cost and optimal quality.

Renovation / Restoration / Remodeling

We coordinate with our clients every step of the way in renovating, restoring, and remodeling their existing buildings. From electrical, painting works, kitchen and bath renovations or any type of construction work, you can be sure that we are the right company for the job.
